Answer
Users can connect to counterparties via a shoutdown or ringdown connection. A shoutdown is a push to talk connection where the counterparty will hear the user the moment the user clicks the button/connection on their C9 Trader screen. This type of connection can be used for internal, external and group shoutdowns.

A ringdown connection alerts the counterparty via traditional phone ring and requires the receiving end to answer. This type of connection cannot be used for internal or group calls.
